This constant moving around is what prompted his parents to enroll him in the boarding school at DPS, Mathura Road at the start of Class IX. It is during the next three high-school years, he says, that some of his best memories were made.
He graduated from Shri Ram College of Commerce at Delhi University, and went on to become a Chartered Accountant. He started his career at Xerox Corporation, but moved to banking soon thereafter. He has since worked at three of the largest global banking institutions - Citigroup, JPMorgan Chase and Wells Fargo. His assignments in Financial and Risk management have spanned five continents, and his latest role finds him in the US.
Vivek's wife is an artist. His son recently started a career in banking in
San Francisco and his daughter is studying to be a biomedical engineer in Boston. Vivek likes to stay busy outside the office. He is working towards soon publishing his first book, while working on two others. He also paints, runs long distance and is a golfer.
His parents and siblings live in India and the bond to 'apna desh' remains strong and delightful.
