Dear Mr.Soni,
It was such a pleasure talking to you today and to know
about your association with the Blind Relief Association during your school
days when you used to visit our JPM Senior
Secondary School to help our students
as reader and writer during their examinations.
I recall Dr.Singha mentioning about you and
your desire to help us and our students, especially as the President of DPS
Alumni Association. As discussed, I am
sharing with you two specific areas where you could perhaps help us.
- Providing
readymade Khadi Kurta-Payjama
sets to School students and vocational trainees in BRA. The Kurta should be coloured
while the Payjama be white. In all 270 sets in
different sizes covering small children to adult size wear. The specific details can be conveyed in
due course.
- As
mentioned, the BRA, jointly with Indian Blind Sports Association, is
hosting the 15th BRA-IBSA National Sports Meet for the Blind on
5 –8 December 2006 at
Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi.
Over 500 sportspersons from all over India
will participate in this largest sports meet for the visually challenged
in the country. We have budgeted an expense of over 12 lakh
for this meet and we still have a big shortfall of funds. Perhaps you and your friends can
contribute to raise funds for this Meet.
